Easter Eggs and Birthday Wishes

The family gathered together for a heartwarming Easter dinner, lovingly prepared by Ms. Mama Carole. We feasted on delicious chicken, fresh veggies, and Wyatt’s favorite rosemary bread. There's nothing quite as uplifting as sharing a joyful meal surrounded by family.

After dinner, Uncle Sandy, Lizzie, and I took Wyatt and Lolo to the park for some fun on the swings, climbing around the jungle gym, and enjoying a peaceful stroll through the neighborhood.

Returning home, it was time to celebrate Lolo’s birthday! Ms. Mama Carole baked a beautiful cake with pink frosting, adorned with nine candles—eight candles marking Lolo’s 8th birthday and one special candle in loving memory of Hominy, who recently passed away. Lolo made a heartfelt wish as she blew out her candles before excitedly opening presents.

The next morning brought excitement and giggles as the kids eagerly searched the house for hidden Easter eggs left by the Easter Bunny.

It was a truly wonderful weekend filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable family moments. We said goodbye to Uncle Sandy and Aunt Karen on Saturday evening after the festivities and already miss them dearly. We're looking forward to visiting them soon this July!
